James McDonald, MD

Dr. James McDonald MD is a internal medicine/pediatric physician with thirty-two years of clinical experience. His work experience includes inpatient hospital care, practice administration, medical and nursing student proctoring, independent medical evaluations, and disability ratings.

He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City.

Dr. McDonald became a physician to build trusted personal relationships where honest communication takes place to identify and help with any healthcare needs. His philosophy is to guide patients through vast amounts of medical information to find the best and most appropriate option for their health care goals.

Dr. McDonald transitioned to the direct primary care model to ensure he can deliver exceptional care without the pressure of meeting insurance metrics. Removing

insurance from his practice immediately and positively affects patients’ experience, health, and pocketbook. Direct primary care provides patients with personalized care at a low cost resulting in high satisfaction.

Dr. McDonald enjoys guiding individuals motivated to maintain good health.

In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, gardening, and spending time with his family at his ranch. He is an animal lover and he has dogs, cats, horses and chickens!

Clarity DPC is a direct primary care practice located in Kansas City. The membership-based approach provides patients with an enhanced relationship and 24/7 direct access to Dr. McDonald.

Patients can expect 30-minute to 1-hour appointments focused on executive-type physicals, prevention, health restoration, and function. In addition, patients receive evidence-based lifestyle strategies, supplements, pharmaceuticals, and other wellness and aesthetic services to promote healthy living.
